Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Skincare

Dealing with dry skin, day in and day out, can certainly have its challenges. But good, regular exfoliation is key to managing the dry bits that seem to pop up out of nowhere, even in the dead heat of the summer. I’m already a big fan of glycolic acid (check out my video dedicated to the science of this molecule on YouTube) and was super excited to try out a couple of the Nip + Fab glycolic acid containing products.

Nip + Fab is a buzzed about beauty brand that focuses on bringing innovative products with cutting edge ingredients to their customers. They want to see results from their products so customers can have smoother, firmer, and hydrated skin. The Glycolic Fix line is just one of many for the brand (you may have heard about the Dragon’s Blood or Viper Venom lines as well) that focuses on exfoliation, both physical and chemical.

I’ve been trying two products from the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Skincare line—the Glycolic Scrub Fix and the Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme. Both of which I’ve really been enjoying.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Skincare

First up, the Nip + Fab Glycolic Scrub Fix ($9.95 USD) is a facial scrub that tackles exfoliation three different ways. There is is glycolic acid in the scrub (an AHA), along with salicylic acid (a BHA) and then has a physical exfoliant in there as well. Now while I don’t love having AHAs/BHAs in cleansers/scrubs as they just don’t stay on the skin long enough to do anything, the physical exfoliant in the scrub is fantastic and very effective. The acids in the scrub really just give an extra oomph of exfoliation to the already effective scrub. You can see in the photo below the fine nature of the physical exfoliant (hydrated silica) in the scrub. It has a great grapefruit scent and isn’t too harsh on the skin or leave me with super red skin after use.

The Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme ($14.95 USD) are texturized facial pads soaked in a solution containing 5% glycolic acid along with lactic acid and salicylic acid. I use these after cleansing and before applying serum/moisturizer. While I typically use a higher concentration of glycolic acid in one of my night creams (NeoStrata Glycolic Renewal), these night pads are an intense, concentrated dose of glycolic to the skin. It tingles a tiny bit when I use the pads but certainly not anything uncomfortable. The night pads also have hyaluronic acid in them which adds some hydration to the skin along with the chemical exfoliation with the acids. Overall, my skin loves these night pads and looks fresher, revived, and smoother after using them. It’s a great way to add an extra punch of glycolic acid into your skincare routine.

I am so pleased with both of the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Skincare products I’ve tried out. They help add effective chemical (and some physical) exfoliation into your skincare routine. Have you tried any Nip + Fab products?

til next time…
