It has arrived everyone! On Friday, the Fenty Beauty Holiday 2017 Galaxy Collection dropped and I was so excited to pick up a few things. I decided to pick up one of each type of product released. Now I am planning on having a video go up very soon on the collection but for the time being I have swatches of everything!
Let’s start with the star of the collection—the Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette ($69 CDN/$59 USD). The palette is 14 glittery shadows that can be toppers, glitter shadows if packed on, or used wet for a more metallic look. Some of them swatched really nicely while others will just give a dusting of glitter over your makeup looks. If you do not like glitter shadows, then this palette is not for you unfortunately.
Keeping with eyes is probably the coolest product of the collection—the Eclipse 2-in-1 Glitter Release Eyeliner ($25 CDN/$20 USD). These come in 3 different shades (I picked up Nepturnt). You can use these liners in two ways, straight out of the tube or smudged. By smudging the eyeliner, glitter magically appears! I would recommend using a small smudger brush along your lash line to get the desired effect.
Moving onto the lips, I picked up the deepest shade of the Starlit Hyper-Glitz Lipstick ($24 CDN/$19 USD), Sci-Fly. I love the metallic look of the lipstick on the lips and with all that shine and glimmer, it isn’t gritty!
And then lastly, I went into Sephora thinking I would pick up a different shade but I couldn’t resist the shade Gal on the Moon of the Cosmic Gloss Lip Glitter ($24 CDN/$19 USD). The holographic glitter is breathtaking! It also really reminds me of MAC’s Club eyeshadow (especially in the shot below).
And obviously, I needed to combine the two lip products to see what they look like together.
And here’s a look I wore out on Saturday featuring a couple of the products. I placed Sunburst and Meteor Crush over a very neutral eye look (mainly Sunburst which I used wet) and then a sheer layer of Sci-Fly with Gal on the Moon over top. I also placed Milky Way from the eyeshadow palette on my cheekbones but unfortunately you can’t see that in the photos.
Did you pick up anything from the Fenty Beauty Holiday 2017 Galaxy Collection?
til next time…
