Swatched: Quo Fall 2017 Collection

Quo Fall 2017 Collection Review Swatches

Well we are in the thick of it when it comes to Fall makeup collections. The weather definitely doesn’t feel like Fall though at all. The new Quo Fall 2017 collection is now on store shelves and I wanted to swatch the collection for you so you can see pigmentation and shades.

Quo killed it again when it came to packaging. The black marble is stunning and something you’d want on your vanity all year around. There is a variety of products in the Quo Fall 2017 collection including face and eye palettes, lip products, brush sets, and nail polishes.

Keep reading if you want to see swatches on the goodies I received from the Quo Fall 2017 collection!

First up is the Quo Face Palette in Warm Peach ($20 CDN) which also comes in the shade Cool Pink. Both face palettes come with 2 blushes, 1 highlighter, and 1 bronzer. The blushes are very nicely pigmented while the highlighter gives a nice subtle glow to the skin. Now I’m not a huge fan of shimmery bronzers but it would give a lovely glow to someone with a medium skintone. The blushes blend out really well and go with a variety of looks.

Next up is the first Quo Eye Shadow Palette in Stone Cold ($16 CDN) which features 4 matte shadows and a shimmering white shadow. The pigmentation of three of the matte shades is fantastic (minus the light pink) and they all blend out very nicely. The white shadow is a bit powdery but still workable.

The second Quo Eye Shadow Palette in Evergreen is the other option in the collection and definitely my favourite of the two. Do you see that shimmering copper and deep forest green?? The middle shade is very nice in the crease and the white shade is easier to work with than in the Stone Cold palette. I don’t quite understand the grey shadow in this palette though. I think it would have been great in Stone Cold though! You can create a lovely look with the other 4 shades so it’s not a huge deal but maybe a deep brown would have completed the palette a bit better.

Next up are the Quo Matte Lip Crayon ($12 CDN) which comes in three shades—Eggplant, Chestnut, and Brick. All of them have amazing pigmentation and last a decent amount of time on the lips (3-4 hours). They don’t dry out the lips and feel pretty creamy. I did find that they didn’t apply very nicely on the inner part of the lip. They just wouldn’t stick. After rubbing my lips together though and then reapplying seemed to fix that for the most part. Chestnut has become one of my every day go-to shades on my bathroom vanity and looks great under a neutral gloss.

Lastly are the Quo by Orly Breathable Nail Polishes ($10.99 CDN) which comes in 3 limited edition shades for this Fall 2017 collection. There is a shade not shown here, Down to Earth, which is a yellow-bone neutral shade. De-Stressed Denim is a great blue-gray shade that is really nice and creamy. Two coats were required to achieve the look above.

Quo Fall 2017 Collection Fairy Godmother Swatch

Probably my favourite item of the entire collection is the nail polish in Fairy Godmother. Look at that rose gold metallic finish! I’ve already had someone ask me what is on my nails and I’ve only had it on for a day or two. You really only need one coat for an opaque finish but I found that a second coat made the polish look even more metallic (if that’s even possible). The polish glided on as easy as ever and there are minimal brushstrokes considering the finish of this polish.
