CND Holiday 2017 Glacial Illusion Collection | Swatches and Review

CND Holiday 2017 Glacial Illusion Collection

I’m back with the CND Holiday 2017 Glacial Illusion Collection and I have to say it is beyond gorgeous. Inspired by the arctic, these icy shades exude a winter vibe but also have a lovely touch of femininity to them.

You can go to the CND website and find out what retail locations close to you carry the Vinylux line or a salon that offers Shellac services

I have swatched all 6 shades from the CND Holiday 2017 Glacial Illusion Collection for you and all swatches are 2 coats unless otherwise noted.

Cashmere Wrap – This is a great mauve/pink hinted nude shade. Application was nearly flawless which can be hard for any nude shade.

Ice Bar over Cashmere Wrap – Ice Bar is a sheer opalescent shade that looks best as a topper. Cashmere Wrap is a great base colour for this as it lets the pink duochrome shimmer come through and doesn’t compete with it. It’s even more stunning in person. My nails looked like pearls and I was completely mesmerized.

Radiant Chill – This is a stunning rose gold metallic nail polish that becomes lighter in direct light. Such an amazing molten finish to this polish. At the event for this collection, this was the polish I picked for a manicure because it definitely is a showstopper. Just watch out for chipping with this. I found it chipped a bit sooner than my other CND polishes.

Alpine Plum – This shade is another amazing one from the collection. Every time I see it, I immediately think of sugarplums. A gorgeous metallic lilac with a silver shimmer throughout. Truly unique and a perfect light colour polish for the wintertime.

Mystic Slate – Another great icy shade but this time in a grey. I love how much blue there is in this shade. It really does make it a more unique grey shade and makes it go so nicely with a couple of the other polishes (great for nail art pairings).

Winter Nights – Of course this collection needed a bit of grounding by a deeper shade. But I love how much colour there still is in this deep blue shade. It is vibrant all while being a darker wintertime shade. It also pairs so nicely with Alpine Plum and Radiant Chill.

I used Winter Nights and Radiant Chill in a recent nail art design that I posted on my Instagram.
